You don't know where you are and everything is dark. All you can do is snap your fingers and listen for a response.
Try echolocation here
This page is dark too. Snap to see what is around you.
- Snap: click or tap an empty spot (not on text), or use a Snap button.
- Sound on: you hear the snap, its echo and the creatures nearby, from where they are. The sounds come from the game.
- Screen reader: after each snap you hear what is nearby.
Trust your ears
Ec(h)osystem is an exploration game set deep underground. You play it mostly by ear.
To find your way, you snap your fingers and listen to the echo.
Humming mushrooms, glowing jellyfish and small creatures live in the tunnels. Down here, everything communicates by sound.
No combat, no horror. Find out what shook up this underground world, one snap at a time.
Made to hear
You can play Ec(h)osystem with or without vision. Sound carries as much information as the picture.
- Screen readers such as NVDA work automatically, in menus too.
- Every cue comes several ways, as sound, direction, vibration and speech.
- Controller, keyboard and mouse are all supported.
- Contrast and brightness settings, and filters for colour blindness.
- Blind and low-vision players test every build with us.

Enchoi Games
We are a small women-led indie studio from Germany. Ec(h)osystem is our first game.
We started as two. Now there are five of us. A demo is in development.
